I’m applying this cycle, and I wanted to know your opinion on my school list (if I should add/remove anything).
Overall GPA: 3.95
Science GPA and Bio-Chem-Physics GPA: 3.93
DAT score: AA 22, TS 23; One low score of 18 on PAT ☹

I also have a good amount of volunteering, shadowing, and plenty leadership positions. I am applying to all Texas schools as I am a resident.

Current school list:

University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry

Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine

Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of University of Southern California

University of Maryland School of Dentistry

University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine

New York University College of Dentistry

Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine

Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

At a quick glance, the list looks fine solely on the basis of your numbers. What's your target number of schools to apply to, or your application fee budget?

Thanks for your response! Budget wise I can apply to maybe around 8 non-Texas schools. But definitely no more than 8, because my goal is to get an acceptance in Texas.

I'd maybe replace both NYU and USC with other schools because those two are probably the top two most expensive schools out there. Maybe replace one of them with UCLA (in-state tuition after first year, and your stats are comparable to their averages), and another school that accepts OOS applicants at a decent rate?

You make a good point! Thanks for the feedback!
