Hey all, I'm having trouble in deciding whether to apply in this year's cycle or not (to enroll in Fall 2011;which opens this July). The reason why I feel so indecisive is because I haven't completed all of the prerequisites yet. If I do decide to apply this year, I will be missing Biochem, Anatomy/Physiology, Ochem 2, Phys 2, and Public Speaking (I'm planning to take Microbio this summer).
I'm a 3rd year student and my graduation date (hopefully) will be next spring in 2011.
From what I understand...the more prereqs completed, the better your application. Is this true?
Here's all of the prereqs that I've taken so far, along with my grades.
Science:
General Bio 1 w/lab- A
General Bio 2 w/lab- A
General Chem 1 w/lab- A+
General Chem 2 w/ lab- A+
Molecular Bio w/lab- A
Ochem 1- In Progress
Phys 1 w/lab- In Progess
Math:
Calculus (1 sem)- A+
Statistics- A
English/humanities/econ:
English 1- A
English 2- A-
Interpersonal Comm- A-
Psychology- A
Microeconomics- A
Cumulative GPA: 3.95
Math/science: 4.0
Feedback/suggestions/comments will be helpful!
EDIT: **I'm planning to apply to CA schools only and not take the PCAT. I'm hoping to enroll for Fall 2011, not Fall 2010 (application begins in July 2010).
