Hey all, I am looking to apply to DO schools this application cycle and I need some advice to where I should apply and which schools are more region specific. I am a California resident, been here my whole life. My cumGPA is 3.53, sciGPA 3.53, and nonsciGPA 3.53. I just got my results for my MCAT and my overall score did not improve from where it was at. My overall score both times was a 26. The first score break down was 12/5/9 and the most recent one was 9/7/10. I have some ECs but I am looking to add more non medical ECs. Some of the schools that I am looking at AZCOM, TUCOM-California, VCOM-CC, ACOM, UNECOM, ATSU, KCUMB, Rowansom, MSU-COM, LECOM, and Western-Pomona. Is there anymore schools that I should look at? Any of them I should not apply to? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!

Try LUCOM, Marian, DeBusk, Colorado. Basically, add more schools; your recent MCAT is decent; so you should be ok. Just need to apply more broadly to increase your chance. I think Cali residents need to apply to greater number of schools than other residents

Would remove: AZCOM, TUCOM CA, and ATSU (if SOMA)
Would add: PNWU, MUCOM, pikeville, NSUCOM, TUCOM NV, OUHCOM, and WesternCOMP northwest, EVCOM.

I think ATSU-SOMA is fine actually. Take off UNECOM, they seem to have a regional bias and they are one of the tougher schools to get into.

Eventually, the list will continue and you will have to throw everything in.
