A little about me.
First two years went to CC then transferred to a 4 year university. After only one semester I moved again. I really didn't know or care what I was doing with my life at this point, I wanted another change in scenery and moved to another city and attended another 4 year university. Then after two semesters I medically withdrew [had some problems] from my classes to move back home with my parents.
Not considering the medical withdrawals I believe I have 2 W's on my transcript.
3.65 science
3.78 overall
I just started volunteering at two local hospitals. (I'll have two months volunteering by June)
I'm a junior in college, scheduled to graduate summer 2014.
I've shadowed a doctor like 60 hours.
I've taken Organic I and II, Bio I and II, Organic I and II, Genetics, Microbiology, Physics I.. I'm still missing physics II and organic chem lab, also anatomy/physio for a lot of the medical schools' prerequisites.
I believe I can secure several good letters of recommendation. I have one in the making and another I plan to talk to her after this semester.

I'm taking summer classes in the summer but only one class for session A and then another class for session B so I can study for the mcat. A lot of people have recommended studying two months but do you think I can do it in a month to apply early?

Do you think its worth applying in this upcoming cycle?

I don't think this is true, but I'm not sure.

Could have sworn I've seen several but maybe I'm thinking of dental schools.

Could I get into a med school with a 29 mcat with the rest of my resume looking the way it is?

If your only ECs consist of shadowing a physician for around 60 hours, and recently volunteering in two hospitals, probably not. You should post here for more honest feedback and better advice:

Hell yes you need to apply this year...unless you are just dead set on spending a year off of school before you start med school. Understand, you might not get in on the first shot (you have about a 50% chance just based on mcat/gpa...assuming you make a 29 on your mcat), but it is certainly worth the shot.

Don't apply to all 20 top 20 schools unless you want to waste over a grand and a lot of time on secondaries. But it is definitely worth $500 to apply to several reasonable prospects and possibly save yourself a wasted year.

There's really no answer to your question until you take a practice MCAT and see what you get.

This.

If you take a practice test and it is not where it needs to be, assess if you think you can get there in a month.
