I would. If you just want to be trained well.... I would actually recommend some ****ty inner city programs which may have been staffed by mostly foreign grads.
I did a lot and learned a lot my first year, which was a “Univeristy” inner city program. Most of my categorical colleagues were foreign grads. Did my final two years at a very cush community program. Compared to my colleagues, I was sooooo much more comfortable than my classmates.
It is a hard pill to swallow, but if you aren’t planning on some very competitive specialities then I would definitely think about ACGME programs at your desirable location.
