Hi everyone,
I wonder if I should apply to LLU since LLU is owned and operated by the Seven-day Adventist Church and I am not a Christian. I am not sure if the school favors Christian applicant or not.
Please give me some ideas. I appreciate it very much.

Do they address religion on the application? In my personal opinion, if they ask you to designate your religion, just put "other".

one of their essay question asks abt that

4. This university is owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Pharmacy education at Loma Linda University is taught from a Christian perspective. Please respond to this as it relates to your personal educational and career goals.

With that said, I wouldn't apply there unless you are very tolerant. Regarding the essay, you need to be very careful. Could you write the essay without having to stretch the truth?

I applied a couple of years ago. I am not Christian. They accepted me within one hour after I left the interview. Just answer the questions to the best of your ability.

the christian perspective and medicine. hymm. no thanks. unless that is your only option.

Someone told me their day of school is from 8AM-5PM. Attending church is mandatory. Only vegetarian food is sold on campus.

i'm Hindu and i am going to apply this year. in my opinion, i believe they will "favor" you if you write about your religious background, whatever it is, over someone that does not have a religious background

chapel and religious studies are incorporated into the curriculum and appear to be mandatory (ie no conscientious objector). Hey, at least they tell you this up front.

Although the guy who won this year's World Series of Poker tournament is a psychologist who graduated from LLU. So hey, who knows =) you might be just like him one day.

Hi, I am a reapplicant to LLU. I have a BS IN BCH from UCR with a cummulative 3.2 GPA, math 3.7, repreq 3.4. I'm Budist and I do go to temple and teach Vietnamese to kids there. Do you think I have a chane this year?

Thanks for your feedback.

Given your strong will to attend the school, sure, so long as you have taken steps to improve your application.
