So I will be graduating from BYU with a Bachelors in biology in April and then taking my DAT and applying shortly after for the '10 cycle. This means I'll have at least one entire year off in between. My GPA is crap but I've already begun studying for the DAT in hopes of rocking it to compensate for my GPA, but acceptance for '10 is still iffy. So now my question for you geniuses: Should I put in my app for the BYU masters biology program before the deadline in a few months? I just feel like if I got rejected from d-school next summer, I would be wasting that whole year not improving my stats, but then if I do get accepted to dental school for '10, I'll have 1 year in the masters program in the books before jetting for D-school in fall '10. Basically I will need to just withdraw from the masters program after 1 or 2 semesters if I find out I got into d-school first try, which just seems like a waste. Any advice?
