should I apply?

Apply, why not? You have the stats, but how about the extracurricular. Only apply if your solid in that aspect too as you are applying seriously late in the game. Are you seriously interested in Osteopathic medicine though. Remember this is a lifetime commitment.

It can't hurt to apply, right? I mean as long as it is not going to render you financially destitute and you will become homeless as a result.

I'm not judging you, but it sounds like you're just interested in applying to DO schools because your gpa is low. Doc is doc, so in that regard apply, but make sure that this is the right choice for you.
Also a 3.1 is low, but not out of the picture low. And you went to a very strong undergraduate program. I think with your stats you should at least get an invite from your state school. Apply allopathic, apply wide about 20 schools (Drexel, Finch, NYMC, Albany, maybe Creighton) and like 4 DO schools.

I would apply, but only if you really want to be an osteopathic physician. I agree with the other posters, you should consider it if it is what you want to do. 32R is a good MCAT score. I also agree with LP1CW, you should apply to at the very least 3 or 4 osteopathic schools, along with several allopathic. I am not sure what the AMCAS application deadline is though. Seems like it used to be December 31. PM me if you would like any more info Camisho.
