Now I also posted this in EXAMHQ. Sorry for double posting 🙄

I took the SATII BioM and Chemistry on May4th and I got
BioM: 710
Chemistry: 720

I'm an international student with really stellar EC's (what my counsellor told me...not boasting on anything 😛 )
I have a pretty diverse college list but I also mean to apply to a few ivies with at least a shot at getting in... I'm supposed to take Physics on June 1st... Should I also retake BioM and Chemistry or am I panicking for no reason...

HELP MEH!!!

What did you get on your SAT?

For ivies, those scores are somewhat low compared to most other top applicants, so if you can take it again after studying a little more, you'll be better off.

Well it is on the low side if you have other stuff maybe it will work out. If you get 800 on Physics then don't retake it if you don't retake it if you've done everything else and you have time to study.

Yeah they're a little low but not to the point where they'd keep you from getting into a school.

Chances are if you get rejected its not because you got a 710/720 on those subject tests but for other more important reasons on your app such as your grades/SAT score/ECs/Essays/etc.

My ACT prep is getting on great so I'm not too worried about that...
I have an A+ overall grade in high school (You don't get GPAs in Pakistani High schools)
My EC's are probably gonna be my hook (according to my counsellor)
My Recs are going great...
I'm in the top 10 of my class...
My No.1 choice dream school is JHU...
Do you think it is advisable to retake if my aim is JHU?

Depends on your SAT really, your SAT II scores are very good so good job on that. if you have a 2100+ on the SAT I'd say apply to JHU.

IN FACT, if you have such strong EC's like you say, you should be looking at integrated BS/MD programs which guarantee you admissions to that specific medical school of the univ. as long as you maintain a strong GPA through ALL four years (and maybe a solid MCAT).
