Should I be worried?

Hi, my application was submitted on 6/30/08 but all the revised materials were not sent out to DS until 8/11 (i don't know why b/c i submitted everything pretty early following my application submission.

I am freaking out since I heard nothing from the schools yet. I checked the Predents.com and found that a lot of people have gotten interview invitations from most of the schools I have applied for. I tried to call the schools and asked about my status a couple weeks ago but most of them were so overloaded with phone calls and emails so they just told me to wait patiently. However, I am really freaking out. I have very averaged stats and I was wishing I could get the first batches of interviews, but obviously this did not happen.

For those of you who got your application out on the same day as I did, have you heard anything from the dental schools yet? I am applying to Tufts, Boston, Marryland, U of Connecticut, Creighton, U of medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, NYU, Pittsburgh, and Temple.

By the way, Nova has already rejected me and Baffulo has put me on hold (they call it "continuing review").

if you do get interviews it will most likely be for the post-dec interviews, which I am waiting for.

With average stats, they will probably grant you interviews during the second wave of interviews. It's still early, don't lose your hopes. 👍

hey hl11, i feel you cuz i'm in the same boat. submitted my appl 6/11, mailed out to DS 6/30, took DATs 7/31, revisions mailed out 8/11, yet still havent heard anything (except a rejection from case). i have average GPA and DAT scores (3.45/19) 🙁

I have gone to a few dental school interviews and if you had hopes of going to Marquette, I'm sorry to inform you that they are practically done giving out interviews. As for other schools, I think you are still okay. Today I went to Pitts for an interview and they said they will try to make 1/2 of the class pre dec and the other 1/2 after dec. I wouldnt bet too worried yet...

hey, i applied earlier than you but i only heard back from 3 schools so far (LLU, Temple and Midwestern). MWU will be post dec. Yeah.. i'm getting worried too cuz i haven't heard back from NYU, BU or Tufts. = / My stats are average (3.4; 20). I don't know if that's why i'm not hearing back from those schools.

i hope they will give out a decent number of post dec interviews. Good luck. I guess just keep on waiting..

Hey! I'm also in the same boat! I finished everything early in the summer but my Pre-health office didn't get my LOR in to AADSAS until Sept. 29th. I and interview invite from Temple on 10/1 for 10/10. Last week Case gave me an interview for April 10th. I'm still waiting to hear about hopefully interviews from Maryland, NYU, BU, Pitt, New Jersey, VCU, and WVU. My stats are average: 19/19/23, 3.6 overall/ 3.5 science. I'm also freaking out! The wait is killing me!

Now i am even more confused and worried.
so your application was not complete until 9/29 and you have already heard from Temple and Case, but my application should really be complete by 8/11, but why am i not getting anything from the schools???

Should I call to ask them again?
