Im already a Physician Assistant x 5 years now
Overall GPA 3.2
Science 3.1
re-took some core classes to improve pre-req's

DAT-- Taking it in October but did submit my app to 9 schools last week.
Tons of Volunteer work and life experiences.

If I do well on the DAT's do I have a chance or am I wasting my time??
I want this so bad!!

My stats were kinda similar, check out my predents ( <---- ) , and doing great on the DAT really balanced out my GPA and got me a number of acceptances. If you want it badly enough, and work hard enough, you can get there.

Good luck!

SO with those stats and 2 masters (Physician Assistant) and it being late in the game this time around should I do it? Is it realistic that I could get in?

I looked at the predent stuff but it doesnt seem like schools like 3.1 and 3.2 GPA's.

Did you look at my predents profile? I think that you have 2 master's will make you stand out from those who are only on their way to getting their bachelors. Also, it's not late in the game, you've still got time. Interview invites only just started going out this week and last, and interviews regularly go until February for many schools.

thanks Steve

Yes, I looked at the pre-dent page but I still feel that my GPA is too low to think I will stand out at ALL. We shall see. DAT's in October and ill go from there.

Keep in touch

You will stand out greatly with your prior education and experience.

Exactly, a very good point. You're not just a student fresh out of school, you've been out there and done more things.

My Science GPA was even lower than yours, so I know for a fact that the DAT can really make a big balancing effect. Good luck!
