Should I bring my parents with me on my interview day?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If they want to come, I don't see why not. I know for interview day at UHCO, it's actually encouraged to bring your parents because they're a "part" of the application process as well. It'll also be nice for them to see the campus, etc. (they just can't be in the interview with you 😛)

I think it would be fine. Just ask the schools you're interviewing with if they allow guests on interview days.

I was surprised to find that at just about every school I interviewed at, most people were with parents/grandparents/relatives of some kind. I can see why someone would want to, especially if the parents are going to be financially involved, but I really didn't expect it. I suppose it's different for me because I'm married and haven't lived with my parents for years. If any of you are married, be sure to take the wife to interview day (husbands etc). You might love the school, but she has to live there. Happy wife = happy life 🙂

ICO encourages family to come along during interview day, and it's geared towards both applicants and their guests. I came with my sister and mom - they were just there to drop me off but the folks at ICO insisted that they should come along!

It's always good to have someone along to have a second opinion because you yourself might not be thinking the most clearly during interview day.
