I've been reading some different posts from various sections of the SDN. There seems to be many people who would not care if they were a physician, dentist, pharmacist, etc. just as long as they are a doctor of some sort.

I assume it is for the money, of which I am not judging here. I just wonder, for those in pharmacy school now, do you have many fellow students in that category?

Also, should I care? Do they really affect the makeup of the class (and the future of the profession) in a negative way?

Since I have seen it on this website, I wondered if it was a common theme at pharmacy school.

When I say, "Should I care," I am not asking permission to care, I just wanted to know if it was an isssue in school or not.

As in any school where I've worked or attended in the past, there are those who do not share my opinions. For instance, there were many fellow PE/Health teachers that simply wanted to be afterschool coaches and teaching students about the value of exercise and taking care of their body was secondary.

I would not be a dentist for a million billion dollars. 😳
