I was interviewed at UTHSCSA back in Sept 2010 and haven't heard anything yet. Please post your opinion on 'should I contact or not'.

Am I still on waiting list, as haven't heard anything yet? Thank you in advance for your input(s).

I have no idea why people are scared to contact schools. Just do it, they aren't going to decline you because you called them.

They will decline you if you call every single day and pester them though.

There's a fine line between being proactive and annoying.

It's been 6 months... yeah I would contact them for an update.

I'm running into this with the U of Mississippi School of Dentistry. But, I called and the lady told me the letters (last acceptance) go out next week. They made their decisions about a week ago...so I'm not exactly sure why it's so necessary to wait two weeks before letting people know your decision. So, instead of getting all bent out of shape waiting...I'm just going to assume it will be next weekend before we hear anything, if it's earlier...GREAT!

But, as someone else has said here...just call them and ask. Most of the schools are really friendly and completely understand that we need to know something to get our lives on the move. This waiting process has almost ran my wife and I nuts. We're just really scared because we do not really know where to look for jobs because I'm in at another school as well. Very stressful times, but just keep the faith. Best of luck to you!!!

I would have called them on Dec 1st, and then again every 30 days.

U guys are paying 2ndary fees for a reason (usually $50-75), its THEIR job to respond to ur concerns.

When you interview on September, and you don't call back till March, it shows you aren't really interested in their school. They could have rejected you by now (and didn't), so this means they might be somewhat interested in you

I should have called them earlier. Thanks anyway and I hope I get a good news.
