Dental Should I do a masters program before dental school?

I plan on going to dental school, but before that I plan on taking a gap year. During my gap year, do you think that it would be better to do a masters program or dental hygiene program? If so, what are some schools that have a good master program?

My major is Biochemistry. My undergrad gpa: 3.15. I havent taken the DAT yet. I been working as a dental assistant for almost 3 years.

Why do you want to take a gap year?

I want to make myself a competitive candidate by taking a gap year to improve my GPA.

Wouldn’t it be cheaper to do a DIY postbac?

Focus on the DAT first. If you knock it out of the park you may not need an additional postbacc or masters. But you would really need to get a high score. This can potentially save you a year and a lot of money.
