Medical Should I do a post bac program?

Hi, I have a question I am currently a non traditional pre med student at the university of California riverside I am a political science major, recently my counselor advised me to take the biology prerequisites for medical school at an open university and that there was no financial aid for that, but I was wondering if I can instead go to a post bac program to do all the medical school science prerequisites that I need since they can help me financially and I will have more structure by being in the program, my science gpa is low and this is why I think a post bac program will be the best thing or what do you think? Thank you!

If the open University is not accredited, then the credits won't count.

You should definitely finish your political science degree and look for appropriate postbac programs that allow you to take the prerequisites with the appropriate rigor for medical school.
