I had a rough start to college, basically had some things happen in my family and didn't deal with it very well and as a result my GPA isn't all that great and I have about 5 Ws on my transcript. However, I haven't dropped a class in about 2 years and have had all A's and B's since then. I'm taking physics and organic chemistry this semester. I'm doing very well in organic but physics, not so much. I'm really trying in the class, but my teacher doesn't teach us anything (class average on the first exam was like a 44), makes up excuses as to why he can't help us, etc. I will most likely have a 4.0 for this semester if I drop physics, but with all the Ws I already have I don't know how that would look to medical schools. I'm just trying to decide what would be better, dropping the class and retaking it; or possibly getting a C in the class and retaking it to get a better grade, but still having that grade on my record. I also have a lot of volunteer hours and clinical hours working as a scribe (>500), but I'm not sure how much that'll help in this case.
