Ik most school websites say they prefer a committee letter over the individual ones, or they say must have one if your school offers one but my school is taking forever to give me one. I have not even been given a date to have the committee letter let alone wait for them to write and submit the letter since im on their waitlist. My issue is that this is the only thing that is going to make my application late (or at least later than june 5th) should i even bother with a committee letter if they might not be able to submit it until end of june or july? also if i go with that should i just submit my app that day instead of june 5th since my application wont be looked at anyways until i have the letter in which would give me more time to look at my app over?

Hey, I'm in the same situation as you. And at this point I'm asking myself: Is it more advantageous to apply early without a committee letter or a bit later with a committee letter? I had my interview for the letter this week and I was told it would get done mid-July. However, what I've found with talking to other people, advisors, and scouring through posts on here is that anything in the range of June to August 1st is considered early. Most schools only start reviewing applications in later July and August so anytime before that to submit your application is recommended. I, personally, am going to submit my application in June and then wait for the committee letter until July, after which, my application will be considered complete. So essentially I will still be early and have a favorable committee letter. Hope that kind of helps.
