So Ive finished Uworld, free 150, Kaplan
and plan on hitting the robbins qbook and my usmle is on the 19th.

Is it worth it getting rx subscription and doing it or redoing what i already have?

I feel unprepared for the tests and feel like i need more practice....

Make sure you know what you've covered everything possible before you fork out more money for another step 1 resource. If you touch everything each question has to offer, UW is immense.

i think it is. rx hits home a lot of the random details that i feel world doesn't. and i feel like i can guess my way through a lot more on world instead of Rx. where you know it or don't. i've only taken one nbme but on it were some little random questions where knowing that little two word phrase in FA in the corner saved me that Rx highlighted in one of my questions.

and its like 50 bucks or someting right?

i'm an Rx fan, so that's my 2 cents

rx is 3000 questions so there's no way you'll finish it, but I like it a lot. I'm just finishing it now and starting UWorld. I think it prepared me pretty well for UWorld, as I'm getting mid 70s on it. It's definitely a lot harder than Rx, but it is nice to see the material presented in as many variations as possible. If you want more practice, I say go for it, however if you haven't run through UWorld 2x, like many here recommend, that may be more prudent, given your approaching test date.

I think Rx is quite inferior to UW. Rx has tons of extremely ambiguous wording and a lot of questions with multiple correct answers. Their explanations are also total crap. I'd do a second pass through UW long before doing any Rx questions. In fact, I own a subscription to Rx and am opting for a third pass through UW instead of doing Rx once. The questions and explanations really are that much better.

I actually like Rx. One thing I wished I actually did more of during the school year. It is great to read a chapter in FA and then do focused questions on that chapter topics, it really helps you memorize FA.

However, at this point of the game with the exam looming, you are better served doing UWORLD again.

Rx is much more of a "over the school year" type of qbank.

I guess I should clarify that I don't actually dislike Rx. It's a fine question bank, but UW is just so awesome that there's no comparison. I stick by the explanation comment, however. "Choice C is not the correct answer" doesn't effing help me at all, guys. I gathered that when there wasn't a check mark by that question after I answered "C." Agree that Rx is best for in-school studying.

I love Rx. I think its great in its own way compared to UWorld. You can get through it faster b/c the explanations are shorter and it helps you to really remember the stuff in first aid b/c it shows you the relevant section of FA that the question is from. I would definitely get the one month subscription. Its not that expensive if I remember correctly, and its not like starting a whole new source b/c you are already using FA, so its kind of just another way to go through FA that helps you focus on what you do and don't already know.

Yes. Get Rx because it has those FA facts and really helps you cram the facts in detail. Every word counts and means something on Step 1. the qmax will help you understand it in perspective
