I'll retake the MCAT in August. Should I submit my app. and indicate that I will retake?

- if I indicate that I will retake --> my app. will be likely put on hold.

- if I don't indicate that I will retake --> possible rejection. My question is, will they reconsider me if I send in a higher score later?

You should indicate that you are retaking the exam. That is exactly what I am going to do in the next few days. I will submit my application just to get verified...upload the old score and indicate that I will be retaking it by marking the date of my exam.

I am in a similar situation to the both of you. I have to retake in August to bring up my verbal score. I have tried to gather info from a variety of sources (prehealth advisor, Osteopathic school admission counselors, etc.) They all said I should submit so that my app would be verified and that schools would put my app on hold until they received my new mcat score at which point they would evaluate my whole application.
