Should I hear anything else?

So this is my first year applying to med school. I applied to 12 schools, have recieved 5 total interviews and 3 decisions (1 rejection, 1 waitist, 1 acceptance). But my question is this: why haven't I heard from any of the other schools yet, and do you think I could hear from them in the spring?

My applications are all complete at the seven other schools I applied to (and they were complete EARLY). The thing is, most of these schools have already had lots of interviews, and are giving out acceptances. Two of these schools might be considered reach schools, but I should at least get interviews at the others.

Is it common to get an interview out of nowhere during the spring? or should be prepared to just consider my application cycle done after my last interview invite (scheduled for Nov. 6th)?

i hope to hear from a few more definitely. but i wish someone with experience can answer this too.... by looking and the school specific threads, it seems they have jumped me. do they ever come back?

I really wouldnt be concerned... You have 5 interviews and you have 6 interviews... You can't expect to get an interview from every school you interview at. Plus after so many interviews they become worthless, unless you are terrible at interviews, or you arent getting interviews from schools you actually want to go to...

I dont think anyone answered op's question right?

People can get interviews much later in the cycle. but at a point, you can just expect to stop hearing from schools until april or may when you finally get that no thanks and good luck letter. around these parts this period of silence is referred to as a 'silent rejection.'

It's ok OP I still haven't heard from 9 of the schools that I applied, and I have my application verified for about 2 months as for now.
