I won several speech tournaments in high school and qualified at the state level and was wondering if it would look ok if I included this on AADSAS? Would it look bad because its from high school? I'm proud of how I did and think that it shows I have good communication skills (important quality to have, especially for a future dentist)

what do you guys think?

if you have space for it, i don't see the harm in putting it on there esp if you competed at the state level. i probably would only use 1 slot for that. you do have other awards/honors to put in the other slots, right?

Yeah, I have 3 slots filled (with the above activity), and I'm going through my certificates etc to fill the other 2 slots. Do you guys have all 5 filled?

Can you come up with something from middle or perhaps elementary?

unless you got an award for like national speechician of the year or something, i'd leave this off. even winning a state tournament i think is a little bit trivial to be going back to high school for awards.

Are you ever gonna learn how to interact with people or are you always gonna remain as sarcastic and snotty as you are today?!
Jeez!
I haven't seen a single comment from you, not trying to bring others down. It's quite pathetic you know!

But it's quite funny... lol

To the OP, high school awards will probably have a 0.00001% effect on your application. If you really want to put it in there, go ahead, but otherwise don't even bother.

I knew I should have included my "Most Improved" award from 11th grade gym.
