Should I include in ECs?

1-2 hobbies that are unique to you compared to most people, and that definitely counts. Expect to talk about in in some of your interviews. 😀

I've got a similar question (sorry to steal the thread), but I've been fostering kittens in my spare time for the past 3 years, should I include this on my application, even though I can't really relate it medically?

Good question. If you think it sets you apart in a positive way then it might be a good thing. How would you talk about this in an interview? For me, flying has always been a dream of mine, and it took a lot of hard work and dedication to learn. This is why I am including it in my application. (PLUS a lot of docs seems to own their own planes, maybe I'll get lucky and catch a pilot on an adcom!)

So I listed this as an EC, but am trying to figure out what to call it? I had "Flying" but is a little weird... Any thoughts?

Maybe just list it as FAA private pilot license. "Flying" itself may be fine, but they also might think you're nuts. Probably a good idea to include the fact that it includes a plane, then again, maybe not. That is, if you really want to stand out.
