Should I list this non-school a cappella group

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It doesn't have to be intramural to be extracurricular. It doesn't even have to be in a chapel!

Just be good enough to actually sing well in front of the interviewers if asked to perform.

I think that's one of the more interesting EC's I've read of on here. You should totally list it. It doesn't have to be school/class related to be something worthy of listing.

It'll be a great discussion topic, and really helps make you unique.

I directed my collegiate acappella group for a couple years in college...it was my source of sanity through pharmacy school.

Haha. Well, I seriously hope no one asks me to sing. I'll probably be so nervous that I'll sound awful! I guess another problem with this EC is that I'm not sure what to put down for a contact person... I've been perusing the message boards here and it seems like there's a huge debate going on about this. Are contacts optional? Should I not list one? Really there is no supervisor for this group. It's just something we did for fun. I could give the name of a fellow group member but if I do this, should I warn this person that they might be getting phone calls for medical school?

On some level, I feel like I'm just being paranoid and ridiculous. Please feel free to let me know if this is the case 🙂

I'm sure it will be clear that it was a student led group. If there is no contact person, you don't need to invent one.
