Hi everyone! I am currently applying to medical schools and am starting to write my secondaries. I entered college early through a program at my university and did not go through high school, instead doing a 1 year program after junior high before going to university. However, throughout my time in college I've heard from many that my age would be seen as a disadvantage in the app process and so have not mentioned it much in my primary beyond stating my birth year and my "high school" in the basic information. Should this be something to avoid talking about or something to address head-on in secondaries? Is this something I could write about in diversity essays, or in the "anything else they should know" secondary questions? I just don't quite know what to do with this information and whether it is something I should try my best to hide. Thanks in advance for any advice!

WTF?!? so you think it is somehow better to "hide" your particular background than to openly discuss your achievement a such a young age? This is why it is a disadvantage: the immaturity of youth. Stop thinking so much and tell the truth
I wasn't going to lie about my background if it came up, but I was just wondering if it would be worth writing about in essays such as diversity or "anything else" essays, since I had been discouraged in the past from pursuing this particular path due to my age. Thank you for your input!
