Hey guys,

I just took a kaplan practice test, here are my scores:

bio: 20
gchem:20
ochem:18
pat:20
rc:18
qr:18

I don't know if I should retake it or not? Should I take a topscore exam and see how I do? I'm really aiming for a 20+ on this exam. I'm scheduled to take the test on the 18th, but I was planning on extending it for another couple days.

what do you guys think?

thanks.

have you been studying with only the kaplan material? i know some people who have done pretty well with only kaplan, but i also know some people who averaged 18-19 with kaplan as their only resource

hey, not really. I started going over the destroyer now, but I haven't done much. I used my ochem book and cliffs for clarity.

I'm kind of confused with my score. idk what to do!😕😕

have you only taken that 1 practice test?

i cant tell you much since i didnt take kaplans test, however, i have taken achiever and topscore practice tests

if you have those i would recommend taking one of them (at least topscore since achiever is really difficult) to gauge yourself since most people from SDN uses those

but there are also people who have taken kaplan practices and have those in their breakdown, maybe if you can find it and do a comparison

I guess i'll take a topscore practice test tomorrow and see how I do. Does anyone have any idea how kaplan practice tests are?

thanks again

I'm really aiming for 20+. My test is this friday, do you guys think I should postpone till next tuesday?

thanks guys.

u dont know how much different it is to say you'll get all 21s and above than to actually get all 21s and above. 1-2 questions can make or break you in each section. If you're not a good test taker, then the difference between a 20 and a 22 can be contributed to luck becuase you could be nervous and get 1-2 wrong through stupid mistakes. Its unbelievably easy to get 19s in all sections, but its 100x harder to get 22s in each section.

If you're getting 19s and up on your practice tests, then don't postpone it since you're already late anyways. If you were consistantly getting 19s on these practice tests, thats a big enough cushion where 18 would be the lowest you could possibly get on the real test, as you get a HUGE buffer at that point in the number of questions you could get wrong before moving down to 17, and you're scoring high enough where a couple more questions right would bump you up to 21+.

EDIT:: just noticed you said u wanted to move from friday to tuesday lol... thought u meant like a month or something. Is 4 days really worth 25 bucks? Then again...its only 25 bucks. So yes, if u feel u need it, then postpone.

What Kaplan test did u take...the one in blue book?

the one that they have online, it comes with the course I guess.

Yeah I just postponed it to next thursday. Hopefully a week will do the trick. I'm planning on concentrating on the destroyer this week. Hopefully it'll give me some luck.
