Jumping into the reapplicant pool...

Is anyone reapplying to schools that did not send you a secondary application the first time around?

My situation is that one of my recommenders did not send his letter on time and I think this was part of the reason I was removed from consideration (along with a low MCAT score).

you should call the schools and ask them why you didn't recieve a secondary application. If you have done something to improve that this year, then reapply.

You should apply to school's that are within your MCAT range-unless you have some really outstanding ECs.

How low is low? Schools don't usually request letters of rec until they ask you to complete a secondary-so I doubt that them not recieving a letter of rec had anything to do with your not recieving a secondary.

Thanks you are correct and I'm an idiot for forgetting the primary reason I did not get secondaries from many schools last year.

Thanks for the advice. I've called one of the schools that rejected me and I got a good idea of what was lacking in my application.

Absolutely. You can't get an interview if you don't apply. The only ones I would not bother with are those state schools that only take state resident applicants.
