Hey guys,

I just did all of the science in Kaplan DAT 7th edition, and my sciences were around 17s and 18s. Does anyone now how does Kaplan compare to the real one? My DAT is on Jan 16th, would I still have enough time to study or should I reschedule?

Thanks for any inputs!

Hey nickh, I first started out studying for the DAT using Kaplan 8th edition and Cliffnotes. After a week or two of using Kaplan, I abandoned it all together because it was only covering the surface of every topic (I only used Kaplan for Biology).

Additionally, Kaplan is considered 'too easy' amongst the SDN community, and I have to say I agree as well.

Hey,

Thanks so much for your reply! So when I wrote those exams, I haven't completely finished studying I guess. Now I have gone through Destroyer once, and 2nd time around I've been getting roughly around 19 equivalent DAT on Destroyer questions, so you think I'm doing okay? I kept on making silly mistakes, and if you get like 2 or 3 wrong plus another 2 silly mistakes then it's already only a 25 or 24 which is a 19 :s

Any tips on overcoming that?

my friend took dat recently and he said dat destroyer is the must and Kaplan was waste of money , btw , 19 on dat destroyer is good! good luck !

I retook the dat pretty recently (28 in biology) and I too found DAT destroyer to be the most helpful. Glad to hear you've gone through it. More importantly than getting questions right in my opinion is understanding the information that is in the question and the answer key. Check out my breakdown, I think it will help you! Good luck!!

Yeah, I'm hoping to go through chem and orgo three times, and bio and math twice before my DAT. And try to get some PAT and RC done here and there.
