I'm sure many before me have asked because it is sort of a "borderline" score, but I received a 30 (9/11/10) on the August 2014 exam (applying next cycle). I'm unhappy with my score, but in all honesty, I'm currently burnt out in various aspects of my life and would like time to recuperate/avoid having to retake if possible. On the other hand, I feel like I could do better (I studied for about a month and a half for this one), and a higher MCAT would be helpful, since my GPA is ~3.6 and I am applying only to allopathic (MD) programs. The average MCAT score for my state school is about 32.5, so I am likely a "below average" applicant at this point. Is it advised that I retake?

If everything else in your application is strong, 30 is an acceptable score. You are no longer an early applicant, though. If you are already AMCAS verified you should apply to your state school and maybe a dozen more where they accept OOS applicants with your stats.
