Should I retake the DAT?

I took the DAT recently and received an 18 AA/19TS/17 PAT /18 RC/16 QR/18 BIO/19 GC /20 OC

my science gpa is a 3.48 and overall gpa is about 3.5

so far I’ve been rejected from one school 🙁

You should probably bank on having a retake. Grab the ADEA dental school explorer if you want to see the stats of all the schools. It would help making an effective list for before you apply.

I know 3 people that got into dental school with an 18 or lower. I know over 250 that got in with a 19 or higher. I would retake the DAT.

This seems like really good advice. Also, I’ve heard that schools look at PAT like a checkbox—you’re good if you have a 19 or higher, not good if you have below.
