I have already been invited to three different interviews. My cum. and sci. gpa is a 3.6 and my DAT AA is an 18. I am assuming that part of my reason for getting invited is based on my extensive research experience (graduated over one year ago and am currently a medical researcher) and the fact that I worked over 30 hours a week while going to college. Also, how big of a deal is it to get invited for an interview? This is my first time to apply, so I am somewhat new to all of this.

If you don't mind me asking, which schools granted you an interview? I got an 18AA back in June, am studying to retake it in approx 2 weeks coz I figured higher scores might increase my chances of getting interviews/acceptances...

whats your PAT? cuz alot of schools look at that too

The fact that you have interview invites would indicate to me that you are in pretty good shape. You are obviously a well rounded candidate.

it depends how you got the 18! if you have 18s or above on your chemistry and your bio then i think it's okay. but if you have like 16s and 17s on those and a 26 on the reading, it doesn't say much.

An 18 is a solid DAT score - its the average at most schools, and you have a great GPA plus a year of research experience. If you already have a few interviews then I would say you are in pretty good shape. However, if you feel like you can retake the DAT and improve then it might be worth taking again. You are in good shape as I said before, but bumping up your DAT stats just a little bit would put you in great shape.
