Hey whats up guys, I recently took the DAT in August:

BIO: 19
GC: 17
OC: 19
RC: 17
QR: 16
PAT: 15

AA: 18 TS: 19

What do you think? My GPA at Loyola New Orleans is 3.977. But, during the Katrina semester, it dipped to 3.2 at Northwestern with a C+ in Organic. Am I in good position to apply with these stats?

I have not even taken the DAT yet, but I would probably retake the exam if they were my scores. While they are not terrible IMO, the 15 and 16 just jump out at you. I also have heard that some schools will not even consider scores of 15 in ANY section, but that could be a rumor.

What major did you get that wicked GPA in?

Good luck whatever you choose!

yes you should your PAT is the main reason but it would be a good chance to up all your scores

I'm majoring in Chemistry Pre-Med. I am taking Cell Molec, P Chem, and Biochem classes right now so I do feel pretty comfortable about re-taking it. Do you guys know any good tips for the PAT?

I would retake it overall the scores arent bad but this year has been justs o competitive that i would give it another try so you could be on the safe side.GLuck!!!

In my opinion, I would retake.

I'm not sure what you used to study the first time around, but Barron's DAT Guide has some good resources for helping to prepare for the PAT section. Its not really very good for any other section, but for the PAT it is great. I'd also suggest just doing lots of practice tests to get a handle on how to attack that section. Top Score Pro DAT is fairly accurate as to what you see on the real test.

I know your QR is low but most schools don't care about your QR too much...your GC could be at least 18. But yah! you'll need a higher PAT score. No big deal, PAT is the part you can train yourself and do really well on. You did well on your first try...retake it and get even higher scores.
