Hello all,

I have got a situation here and need some advice. I applied this cycle with a 3.42 cGPA and a 3.28 sGPA. Since then I have completed 7 courses (spring quarter and summer) of mostly science classes. I have gotten all As except for one C in Biochemistry (got sick and missed a midterm, psycho professor wouldn't let me retake). My current sGPA 3.33 cGPA 3.52.

Should I send updates to schools I haven't heard from or do you think the C will hurt me more than help me?

Thanks 🙂

You could update, and it probably wouldn't hurt you. However, it probably also wouldn't help tremendously. Medical schools won't see a significant change in your cumulative GPA; that's already updated through AMCAS. They'll simply see these grades and tack them on to your application.

6 As and 1 C isn't terrible, so again, it wouldn't be against your best interests to update. However, this update probably won't make many schools take a second look.
