greetings,

if i give each prof. a packet with addresses for each school i plan on applying to, will it expedite the whole process rather than going thru aadsas?

Also, how do i notify aadsas that i wont be sending them my letters so they dont wait for them before they send my file out?

Your first question: If you are applying to only 2-3 schools, then yes, I would tell the profs to send them out to each school. If you are applying to 10-15 school, however, I wouldn't want to tick off the profs.

Your second question: Phone.

okay thanks. If i follow the option of sending the letters myself, what date should i be shooting for. I ask this because even though someone could send their letters to aadsas on may 18th, their letters (and application) would not get to the school until 4-8 weeks later (july 1-18). Does this mean i have until early july to send my letters and be considered the earliest application possible?

It would be kinda funny for a school to receive a bunch of lor's before they even have my application, no?

It happens all the time, and they expect it will happen again. When they recieve anything they make a file for you and as the stuff roles it is place in your file.

or you can offer to write on behalf of your profs. just get their signature and you'll do the rest of the paper works. top class efficiency

Use Interfolio.com

All you have to do is print out an ID page from the site and then hand it to the professor. When they are done with your letter, they follow the directions on the paper... they can send it in via mail, fax, or electronically. This company will hold your letters until you are ready to send them out... $5 per destination with as many letters as you need sent out in the mailing. What is great about this is that it is easy and secure. They usually mail the letters out the next day once you request them. You don't have to worry about AADSAS losing them and screwing up your slot at an early interview.

Using interfolio.com made the whole LOR process simple and stress-free. You can log in and monitor who sent theirs in and who you are waiting on... you receive email alerts as people submit your letters. You won't be disappointed!
