I just found out I was accepted to Phi Beta Kappa and am curious if I should update schools of this. I have interviewed at a few schools, have a couple more interviews coming up in the next few weeks, and have a few schools I haven't heard from yet. I was leaning towards sending an update to the schools I haven't heard from yet. If anyone with specific knowledge of Phi Beta Kappa has any advice on this it would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've heard that Medical respect PBK. If you send an update letter send it with some other stuff too!

Yes, send an update letter. In addition, you could add a part about how you're still interested in their school.

I would hold off until december for updates so you can include semester grades.

Send it. It may or may not have an impact, but at least they'll know that you're still interested.

As others mentioned I would use it as a vehicle to talk about other things. Getting into PBK probably isn't something that's going to majorly influence the final decision, but it will give you the chance to perhaps talk about other stuff that MIGHT influence the decision.
