Should I submit even though 1 of my transcripts is pending?

I'm having a minor freak out this morning.

I was SO on top of everything for a first day submission. My entire AMCAS is complete, my personal statement is (grammatically) flawless, and my grades have been checked and re-checked. Even my letters of rec are marked as received. However my last transcript, which my school has confirmed was sent on May 25th, has still not been marked as received.

Yesterday AMCAS said they were marking transcripts received on June 1, which I figured could have included mine because of the holiday. However today they are up to June 6, so mine must have been lost in the mail.

My school's transcript office is great and promised to issue a new copy today but even so it won't be marked as received until at least the 10th or 13th. Should I go ahead and submit anyway? Will they begin working on verifying the other stuff in my app, or will they wait until everything is received? Is this going to effect my application? I know verification times pretty dramatically spike up as the cycle goes on...

This is such a **** morning. My cat died in the middle of the night last night, and now I've lost control of my application.

From my understanding, the verification process is solely concerned with confirming coursework/grades and establishing an AMCAS GPA. Therefore, submitting now or later would not matter since they do not have one of your transcripts and will not bother to touch your app until they receive it.

As for the transcripts, definitely submit now -- you never know, they may have arrived and are still being processed. Either way, a mid-June verification is still quite early in the cycle, don't worry too much.

He was an older guy (not my profile pic) and just kind of slowly stopped breathing. No pain or anything. Sad though, of course.

In other news, I just found out I'm being audited by the FDA on Monday (clinical research job). I think it's about time for me to go to bed and try life again tomorrow.

Just go ahead and submit, your transcript will get their shortly and you will be marked as complete.

I'm so sorry about your cat. 🙁Just submit anyways...the transcript is probably there. I mean worst comes to worst, if you submit and it doesn't show up in the next couple of days, you can resend it, but either way I see no harm in submitting.

Called on June 7th and they confirmed they didn't have it. Maybe I will try again today. Not sure what I would really be expecting them to tell me though.

Thanks. I'm sure I'll be fine, this is just really annoying because I started planning for a June 7th submission months ago, and didn't get one due to factors completely outside of my control 😵

Called and emailed and they pretty much told me there was nothing they could do and I just need to wait longer. Then my app was mysteriously marked complete an hour later. Woohoo!

1 week late probably won't have an effect right? I'll just be quick with the essays.

Plenty of people submit a week or two after the initial day and still get in. I don't think this will make a difference at all. Now you can relax 🙂
