Hey all-
I know the whole mantra of "the earlier the better" when it comes to getting together the AMCAS app, but I've got a bit of an interesting twist here. One of my work/activities has a bit of a snag in it. I'm the president of our Tau Beta Pi (engineering honors society) chapter for next year, but due to some paperwork issues, I'm not officially a member in the national organization. I should have this fixed within a week or so, but my question is this: When AMCAS verifies your application, do they check on things like that? The last thing I want is for them to basically say "Yeah, not only is he not the president, he's not even a member". I'm fairly sure that wouldn't look good to med schools 😀. Should I wait until this is fixed or should I just send it out?
Cheers,
Jarrod
