Should I take DAT the third time?

just enough to get some interview if you apply early

I agree, do it early!! Also depends on which schools you're applying to. If you're trying for school in CA, you'll need to take it over. As for other states, I think if you applied to enough schools you'd get in somewhere...

i wouldn't take it again, 19/19/17 and a 3.3 will get you at least a few interviews if you apply early and apply to a good variety of schools.

From what I have read it wouldnt be worth it. You did improve however!

Don't retake it, simply apply early and be reasonable about schools that you apply, meaning that look at d-schools’ entering statistics before applying there. My stats were similar to yours and I got several acceptances including one from my top list school 😀

I applied to 9 schools and got invited to 8 interviews (Arizona booted me out for not having enough community service 😛 )

^^^ ditto to what they all said. I have similar stats and I got 3 interviews out of the 5 schools that I applied to. Remember, the numbers aren't everything; make sure you have good extracurr. and shadowing experience. To me, a 4.0 and a 30/30/30 don't mean a thing if you've never even seen what a dentist does or have never taken your nose out of a book to serve your community.

....Take it as many times as you want. I did. First Time: 16/16. Second Time: 17/17. Third Time:19/18. I guess third times a charm b/c I got accepted! Just make sure you know you can do better if you do take it a 3rd time. good luck
