I have been told that if I can take Histology before dental school to do so. But what do you guys think? Should I "take it easy" (by only taking Physics 2 and Genetics) the semester before dental (assuming I get in) and read the Histology textbook on my own time or should I take the course? Thanks in advance!

take it easy brah. if you get in, why stress yourself out? you made it. just coast to dental school. histology aint a big deal unless for some reason you want to do pathology.

I believe histology in undergrad will be more broad since the one in dental school will focus more on dental related histology, at least that's what I heard, correct me if I'm wrong guys!

That was case for my undergrad histology course. Can't say taking it really helped me with histology in dental school, which was a lot more narrow in scope and could be easily prepared for even if you haven't taken it before.

D1 here-

I have a few friends who took histo in undergrad and they are killing it with grades (class average = 86ish, they're getting 98+ on tests). I didn't take it because my school didn't offer it.

It will give you an upperhand if you have the time/energy to take it.

Dental school first year will have a bunch of histo so it will be a little "easier" for you.
