I did not hear back from LECOM, so I plan on filling AMCAS and AACOMAS for 2007. Because my scores are old (and I could do a little better on them) I am planning to take them again in August.

I am a little hesitant about sigining up for Kaplan. I think they deliberately score you low on the preliminary exams. I noticed this when I prepared for my GREs and MCATs with them. They scored me low on the Math and Analytical, which I knew all the time were my strengths. On MCATs, I scored low on Physical, but on the actualy test I got a 9.

Your "diagnostic" test at the beginning is very difficult. The one you take at the end is easy. That way, you are sure to improve and that "money back guarantee" is never invoked. Look at the 30+ thread in the MCAT forum. You'll find out what all the others are doing.

Their course material doesn't really change over time. You can sign up for other test prep programs.

I'm an EK diehard. took physics and chem over 12+ years ago. was not a verbal scholar and used to argue with my high school teacher about verbal reasoning "how do we really know what this author is talking about unless we ask him?". C's in orgo, B's in biology. managed a 32.

Ek verbal with kaplan verbal is a nice combo.

I've heard the easier test thing from someone doing LSATS as well...That is a lot of money that could go buy every book you'd ever need to review, AND other things. Unless you are REALLY a person that just has to have stuff presented to you and scheduled for you I'd say just do a bit of indie studying...and if you get stuck ask a prof or your local genius for help.

I didnt even read any of the posts.

From experience. Don't take Kraplan again. Take TPR.

Exam Krackers was the best course ever. I would buy the books regardless if you take the course because they are written well.

I took the Kaplan course this last go round, and I experienced the same thing. After the diagnostic score came back I seriously thought about trying to find another career path. I was not anywhere in the ball park of where I wanted to be. I saw an average of a 10 point jump on the practice tests from the diagnostic. I am not the kind of person who will sit down and study by myself so I found the Kaplan class to be helpful. My cousin took the princeton review and she seemed to like it. They use different professors for each subject, not one teacher for the whole class. I also had a kid in my kaplan class that had taken the princeton review before the kaplan class, and the vibe that I got was that he liked kaplan better (of course he was in the kaplan class with the instructor present when he led me to believe that), anyways, I hope this info. helps.
