If I don't get into any dental schools this year...
Should I take DAT over to improve on my RC? - You see my GPA is quite low. (2.88)

AA - 24
TS - 22
Bio - 21
Gen Chem - 22
Org Chem - 29
QR - 30
RC - 17

PAT - 22

My AADSA application is quite late, and already rejected (without interview) by one school . 🙁

OH HELL NO! Don't even touch that DAT. Those numbers are amazing! If you don't get into a dental this application round, it's not your because of your DAT, my man. It's definitely not your DAT!

There are already people that have been accepted to schools that have a 17 on one or more sections of the DAT. Don't worry about it at all...you have awesome scores. GOOD LUCK!!!

Did not study at my first school... But have been serious about my education and goal for last couple of years...

1st school GPA: 1.98
2nd college GPA: 3.84
Post bacc Gpa: 4.00

*sigh* I wish I could get back those wasted years, and my grades...

As a fellow under 3.0 member I have the same regrets. I wish I had my head screwed on right when I was younger.

I have a GPA which is lower than yours and I'm just starting out!

I'm with Rezdawg on this one.

I have only heard of a couple of people that have better scores than that. If anything, you would probably do worst overall if you took it agian. It's pretty hard to get 29's and 30's twice.

I'm not trying to put you down in anyway, I think you have some of the best scores I've seen..... so LEAVE THEM ALONE!

jjdaddy, First of all, your scores are awesome, I would not worry at all about the RC. I think that all of us studying for the DAT benefit from hearing how people like you, that did well on the DAT, went about studying for the exam. Would you please give us a run down of how you studied, especially the PAT? Thanks

Your DAT Scores will offsett the GPA-do not take it again!!

With your GPA and DAT, I think you are almost guaranteed interviews at NYU, BU, Temple, UMD, Nova, UNLV, Case, and Marquette should you apply.

Borderline schools include: Columbia, Penn, UOP, Tufts, UConn, Indiana.

No Chance at: Harvard, UCLA

I know I can repeat 30 in QR, but probably not 29 in orgo. I understand well that my AA may drop a bit, but I'd think well balanced DAT score would look better than my current score with 17 in one subject?

Just apply early next year, and your chances will be 100% better than they are now, and 100% certain that those scores will get you in most places if you apply June.

yeah... with scores like that, there's quite a few schools out there that will eat any caca you feed them as an excuse for a few bad years... they'll be like, "you're forgiven"...

i just thought maybe mr. fat chops was korean bc its been my experience that koreans use the word "caca" or shall i say "ka ka" to be more precise...bc whenever i DO use that word..my non korean friends look confused...
