Hello,

I am a 3rd year student, getting ready to take the COMLEX PE, and step 2. I got a DO school, I have always known I wanted to do Family medicine, and I still very much so want to do it. I took COMLEX 1 and got 525, and USMLE was a 223. Pretty avg scores, but I was wondering, should I even bother taking USMLE step 2, considering I am only applying to Community Family Med programs??
- My core site, already wants me to be a resident at their Family Med program, and its my number 1 as of now, but will also apply to a bunch of programs, just in case, but the Program director basically said, he definitely wants me here, and the "spot is mine."

I wouldn't take the USMLE Step 2. But, don't believe any crap from anyone saying that you're in.

I would apply broadly to places that I want to live, go to 10-16 interviews, and rank them with according to your preference.

Let the actual match system do the rest of the work.
