All,

I have a conundrum. My research was just accepted to a fairly prestigious conference, but an interview (and purchased plane ticket) is preventing me from attending. To be honest, the submission was last minute and I did not expect to hear back good news. My PI will be presenting in my place, but I am still the first author on the study.

Should I consider updating schools that I have yet to hear from? Would this be considered a legitimate update and relevant on my CV?

I greatly appreciate the advice! Thanks! 🙂

I think it would be reasonable to say something like "My work was accepted and presented at x conference" without specifying who presented it. If asked about it later, I really doubt someone would hold it against you. If you're the primary no one should question that this was your baby - kid just needed to be babysat for awhile.

Many thanks! And I love the analogy.
