hey, I need some help.
I'll be graduating this December with all my pre-reqs done. However, I haven't had the time to shadow yet and still need to STUDY and TAKE the DAT. Additionally, I need to find professors for recommendation letters.
Do you guys think I can still make it or should I just wait until next year?
(will there be any disadvantages if i do apply after graduation?)
Thanks 🙂

i think you have time. i didnt start getting my letters until the end of june, which is really late. so start getting letters now. i also only took a week to study for the DAT...id recommend starting now and taking it at the end of august. submit your app in mid-july (you can submit your app before you take the DAT, it takes 6 weeks for it to get to the schools anyway). as for shadowing, take 2 or 3 saturdays and just bang out 8 hours at each so you have about 20-25 hours on your app (i had even less). i mean its only april, you have plenty of time to get letters, study for the DAT, and shadow before your app is looked at in september. good luck!

I would do just as PickMe said, except I would apply in May instead of mid-July. Try talking to professors right now and see if you can set up some LORs. Get those shadowing appointments locked-in soon. Your DAT scores will be forwarded automatically right after you take the test. NEVER wait to apply because of the DAT. I made this mistake my first time around and that's why I had to apply for my second cycle. An early AADSAS application submission is the most vital part of the process IMO.

THANKS~
just found a doc to shadow today 🙂

yeah listen to fulcrum. what i meant to say is apply mid-july at the latest. the earlier the better!
