Hello,

For EVMS secondary, it asks you to "describe yourself and your medical career as you see it ten years from now"

Is EVMS not heavy on research and focused on producing primary care physicians?

I'm thinking of writing down that I'd like to be involved in research and go on to surgery (possibly orthopedics... but in reality I have no clue what I want to become for sure)

So in summary, should I write down that I'd like to be involved in research in the future? Also, how detailed should I be in terms of specialty, etc.?

Thanks all!

I would just answer the question honestly rather than trying to tailor it to what you think they want. If your goals aren't a good fit for the school then they're not a good fit, and you'd probably be better off somewhere else anyway. I'm guessing adcoms are pretty good at telling when someone is genuinely interested in what they're writing about and when they're reciting what they think is the right thing to say.
