Should Osteopathy be promoted on a national scale? why?

According to one of the questions on the written test I just took in OMM today, "osteopathy is above all else ... a medical philosophy" (correct answer).

It was one of those extremely relevant filler questions they stick in on every exam, like knowing when Still "flung the banner of osteopathy to the breeze", what Still's children died of, and how many schools of osteopathic medicine there are.
