Should we list residency training not completed on page 4 of ERAS application?

On page 4 of the ERAS application we are asked if we have completed or are currently in a residency or internship. I spent a few months in a residency and had to resign for personal reasons (which are now resolved) but never completed it. Do I need to list this since I did not complete it?

Unfortunately, yes you should, they will find out sooner or later and it wont be pretty if later when they find out that ACGME wont give them the money for those months you already did. But on the other hand, it could also be of benefit to you because you had "a few months" as opposed to the common applicant who had none.

That makes sense. But the specific wording was 'Please include each residency, fellowship, and/or osteopathic internship you have completed or are currently in'. I did not even finish my first rotation (which was three months long). Since I did not complete it and probably can't claim credit for it I am not sure if I should list anything, though I see your point. I will definitely put my residency experience in the experience section of my application (under work) and my personal statement. I see having the extra experience as a plus but some programs may not look on it that way.
