Should we not submit ERAS until we get Step 2 COMLEX score?

I know this has been discussed before but I wanted fresh input.

I am a DO student applying to all MD family practice residencies (for geographic reasons). I did not take the USMLE. I will not get my COMLEX Step 2 results back until mid/late September. I am wondering if I can still (or even should) submit ERAS on September 1st- without the Step 2 score. If I do that- should I release the COMLEX transcript immediately so they will at least receive my Step 1 and Step 2 PE/CS score? Would I then have to "re-request" the COMLEX transcript after the Step 2 score report comes back in late September so it is then sent to all the residencies I applied to? Will I get interviews without them having my Step 2 score?

Or, should I just wait to submit ERAS when I have my Step 2 score?

I'm surprised no one replied yet. Do NOT wait till your comlex 2 arrives..depending on the pony NBOME is using for delivering mail these days, that could be tomorrow or next year. Most residencies look at the step 1 for a screener anyway. My opinion? Apply, because you don't want be behind when the applications are being downloaded on Sept 1st. In the ERAS there is a field where you can enter "Comlex step 2 taken xx/xx/xx, awaiting scores." That is good enough.

When the scores come in, release them. Not having your comlex 2 will not change your interview chances significantly. I'd be more worried if I had a poor comlex 1 score.

What happens on Sept 1 that the applications are being downloaded? is this a date that a lot of programs download ERAS applications?
