Should you take notes on questions?

Hey, I was wondering how you guys are reviewing and understanding the the questions on qbank/world after you complete them? Although I get 60%+ it still takes forever to note and absorb what you didn't know from each question. Do you guys just read the explanation and move on or note it so it can be reviewed a few weeks later?

I've been taking notes. I try to read over my notes for that week's questions on the weekend, and review ALL my notes once a month. Keeping in mind I wasn't doing 50questions/day, etc... Also, I know people who take notes but dont review them, simply because writing something down helps them remember.

Ya writing and drawing little diagrams seems like it makes the concept and details stick much better that mindlessly reading and memorizing FA. It's just a lot more work and was wondering if it was just me.

i do the same. It can take me 1.5-2 hours to do 25 questions, but I'm always sure to write down the explaination or the other answer stems - which often times give info on other topics.

It does take a while, but my hope is that it pays off in the end.

Just curious, I haven't started my USMLE world subscription, but how long does it take you to do 50 questions on tutor mode? I'm planning on doing them towards the end of the day, and want to know how much time to allocate.

It depends on how much you really wanna get out of it. When I started earlier, I would read up on the topic of the question and take notes. I also learned why the other answers are wrong and tried to learn about them to so I don't miss it later.

For example if you got a lot of anatomy questions, you could easily spend 15 mins on a single question if you really wanna learn from it.

I would suggest just taking 10-15 questions in timed mode at a time and then review the hell outta it. Once you get in the swing of things you can bump to 30-48 per test.
