What have you all done to show your appreciation for your significant other?

My wife 😍 has been so wonderful during med school so I want to do something special for her and I was just curious what others have done 😀

Just tell her you love her and thanks for being there. That can mean more to a wife than anything. Of course, this has my vote: http://www.pearlparadise.com/item.html?UCIDs=674104|770443&PRID=1338636

Take her away on a surprise weekend getaway that you plan without her knowing. Don't tell her where you are going. Make it really special. The internet is great for planning things like this.

Have a wonderful candlite dinner at a romantic restaurant. Tell her you have to go to the restroom but instead find the manager and give him a nice piece of jewelry. Have him put it on a nice covered up tray. Go back to the table. Once you sit there for a few minutes, the waiter can bring the tray over to your table and set it in front of her and have him say something nice about her being there for you during med school. Maybe you could write a nice little speech and have the waiter read it to her.

All women enjoy spa treatments.....just a thought

manicures and pedicures gift certificates always rock.
people have said this before, but besides the emails, webcams, and phone calls, nothing is better than a tangible scented (love) letter with a reminder (undies, pix, hairlock etc). Plus, if you have just finished a book (novel) perhaps you can give it to your S.O. but leave little notes all over the book

Clean the house, and while she's out surprise her with a romantic candlelight dinner that you personally prepared.

thanks for all of the suggestions...

I ended up cleaning the house, buying her roses, making her a bubble bath and giving her a massage. She loved it and I always love her reaction when I do nice things for her. I hate it when school and other stuff preoccupies me.

Anyway, thanks for all of your help 😀

Edited: I forgot to mention that I had put the roses next to the bath. When we came up, turns out my cat had knocked the roses into the water  Quite amusing, fortunately they were okay. 👍

Sounds perfect. 🙂 Really, anything that's a surprise will be good.

wow, any of those would make this s/o a happy girl.

really, just take time out and do something that will show her that you acknowledge and appreciate her help...

Maybe write a letter expressing how you feel and read it to her. You know, all that emotion crap we love so much 😉

My bf makes me feel special when he gets me daisies and something that he'll know I like... and I odn't mean $$$ stuff... I mean a Chocolate muffin or a cute little card. Its pretty easy to make me happy.

I am glad you are looking to make sure she knows how you feel, sometimes it can feel lonely and unnoticed all the stress we are under too... thats great. 😀
